Pick Up Sticks: Tiger Lily
Yarn Requirements: For the large flower estimate 80 yards of feltable worsted-weight wool in green for the stem,leaf and petals; 45 yards of orange for the petals. If you have spare brown wool, use this to make French Knot spots on the petals and tips of the stamen.(optional)
Needles: Size 10 US double-points; a spare pair of long straight needles size US10 or smaller; a stitch holder; yarn needle.
For the stem and leaf : 18 gauge, 18" florist wire; Four to Six 3.5" lengths of 20-22 gauge cloth covered florist wire to make the stamen.
