Spring Basket Evening Bags with Tearoses or Buttercups
Materials Needed:
Large Covered Spring Basket: Finished size: 10" high, 18" circumference at top; 13" at bottom. (Size may vary with individular knitter, yarn and felting time)
2 skeins of Cascade 220 in bag color; 2 skeins flower color; small amounts of novelty eyelash or fur for flower centers.
Small covered Spring Basket: Finished: 15" circumference; 5" tall; (2" lid depth; 3" body depth).
2 skeins Cascade 220 for bag color; 1 sk each of two flower colors; small amounts of novelty eyelash or fur for flower centers.
Yarn shown is Cascade 220, 100% wool. Bag is knit and then felted in the washing machine.
Needles used are: US 11/24" circular; US11 double pointed needles; US5 straight needles for buttercups; US7straight needles for tea roses; tapestry needle; sewing needle; nylon beading thread; purchased handle
