Hydrangea Bags
This small baguette is constructed by using a double strand of yarn to work a flat rectangular piece in stockinette, the ends of which are worked in the round (only 4 rows) while the center of the rectangle is worked back & forth so that there is a bag opening the length of the tube. Once the rectangle tube is complete, pick up stitches on the wrong side of the tube ends and work in the round, decreasing into the center.
You will need:
2 skeins of Casade 220 in main color and 1 each of 4 other colors.
Felted dimensions are: 20" circumference X 6.6" wide
Needles: US11 24" circular and Double points; US7 straight or double pointed needles; tapestry needle; Nylon beading thread; 7" large toothed zipper; 2- 6.25-6.50" handles; 4- 25mm bag feet
