There are a good many patterns out there for oven mittens, but none that had the sort of happy cheerful pizzaz we were looking for in our kitchen . . . These oven mitts are designed to fit your hands, whether they are large or small. Begin with either the small, medium, or large size and try them on frequently during the felting process. . when they fit, they are done.
This pattern contains instructions for one-handed oven mittens in three sizes. By one-handed, we mean that you can put these oven mittens on left or right hands, so you never have to worry about grabbing the correct one. We also include instructions for Hot Handle Grabbers and the traditional felted trivet to put those hot things on when you bring them to the table. If so desired, the flower embellishments are worked separately and attached after felting. All of the items in this pattern are made with worsted weight yarn doubled. If you wish to work in a solid color, each item will take one skein or less.
